Description
As a mixed media and ceramic artist, Rebecca's primary conceptual objective is to highlight not only the structural components or “body” of domestic spaces, but also the emotional and psychological impact of the domestic realm. She is particularly interested in what is left behind, so to speak, in the objects, heirlooms, memories and stories that make up both the physical and psychological idea of home. Ceramic objects have a long history as important elements of the home, existing as anything from utilitarian crocks to the finest china of the aristocracy. It is her primary interest as an artist to explore these relationships with the domestic space, its objects and their impact on the occupiers of space through time. This exhibition has special gallery hours as follows:SAT OCT 22-SUN OCT 23  2-5pm dailyMON Oct 24-FRI OCT 28  11am-6pm dailySAT OCT 29-SUN OCT 30  GALLERY CLOSEDMON Oct 31-FRI NOV 4  11am-6pm dailySAT NOV 5-SUN NOV 6  GALLERY CLOSEDMON NOV 7-FRI NOV 11  11am-6pm daily
