Air quality impacts human health (through respiratory, pulmonary, and cancer risk factors), ecosystems (through crop yields and loss of biodiversity) and regional climate (through aerosol direct and indirect effects). This seminar presents an overview of recent research in air quality modeling, field campaigns, and chemical data assimilation focusing on understanding ozone air quality issues across a wide range of spatial and temporal time scales.
