Ecological Imperialism Revisited

A Focus on the Humanities event, sponsored by the UW-Madison Center for the Humanities and Institute for Research in the Humanities. Gregg Mitman is the founding director of the Nelson Institute’s Center for Culture, History, and Environment, and curator of Tales from Planet Earth. Mitman examines how American military and industrial expansion overseas brought into being new views of nature & nation that would become the scientific foundation of later historical narratives.
