Continuing Studies

Fashion is a language all its own. Without words historians can still draw conclusions about a society's value sand priorities by what it endorses as appropriate clothing. This course discusses some of the conclusions fashion histories have arrived at with an emphasis on Victorian clothing. The 4 classes cover Victorian women's clothing, underwear, and children's clothing, as well as look at the changing dynamic between housewives and aprons.
