Description
Wisconsin is home to over 500 species of native wild bees, which provide valuable pollination for both crops and wild plants. In light of declines in honey bee populations, these wild bees, and their contributions to pollination, are becoming increasingly important. UW-Madison graduate student Rachel Mallinger will introduce you to Wisconsin’s wild bees and discuss her research on the factors affecting wild bee populations and their role in crop pollination.
