The event is focused on promoting knowledge and appreciation of plant sciences through presentations given by researchers specializing in diverse aspects of food production, from genomic tools used to improve staple food crops to the interaction between consumers, growers, and the farming system. The event will be a one day symposium featuring four visiting presenters, one UW–Madison faculty presenter, and four UW–Madison student presenters.
