PROSEM Lecture in Communication Sciences & Disorders

An-chieh Chang, graduate student, Auditory Behavioral Research Lab, reviews some widely accepted factors influencing auditory streaming and commonly used stimuli in streaming experiments. An on-going project will be presented showing how uncertainty—a major characteristics of real-world sounds—can impact auditory stream formation. Some preliminary data will be shown as well.
