Presented by Nave Visiting Scholar Tomas Robaina -- a renowned scholar and archivist of the histories, cultures and arts of Afro-Cuba and head librarian at the National Library-Havana, Cuba. The opening of relations and exchanges now taking place between Cuba and the USA, after more than 50 years of en economic and political blockade, will be discussed from a Cuban perspective. Robaina will also present his long-term archival work of recording and preserving Afro-Cuban cultural resources.
