Wildlife Conservation in Chile: A Multidisciplinary Approach

Event Details

Date

Description
Chile harbors rich and endemic biodiversity along its narrow strip of land. The Humboldt current and the Andean mountains allow unique species to thrive — mountain lions, guanacos, vicuñas and condors. The country's diverse ecosystems are little known, and threatened by Chile´s rapidly expanding economy. This talk will travel from north to south, presenting examples of how conservation science reveals problems and offers solutions that enable environmental protection and sustainable use.
