This three-part series explores the state's connection to hydraulic fracturing, aka fracking. This drilling and recovery technology has brought vast new sources of natural gas onto the market. In this session we will discuss the impacts of frac-sand mining on our state's landscape and communities. Speakers: Rich Budinger, president, WI Industrial Sand Association); Thomas Pearson, Asst. Prof, Social Science, UW-Stout; and Kate Prengaman, reporter, WI Center for Investigative Journalism.
