Description
Northern Wisconsin peat bogs have a uniquely appealing and attractive quality to them. We will foray into a black spruce bog on the Kemp Station grounds and get our feet wet as we walk on a floating mat of peat moss to examine pitcher plants, sundew, wild cranberries, and sedges adapted to life in this quintessential northern habitat. (In case of poor weather Monday, the session will be held Tuesday, June 24.)
