Conflict of Interest & Outside Activities Report and Compliance

This session defines outside activities and financial conflicts of interest, and discusses why disclosures of these activities and interests are necessary and required. It reviews federal and university regulations and policies, and the UW’s process for managing conflicts of interest, focusing on compliance and protocols for research involving Human Subjects, Animal Safety, or Biosafety, as well as resources, requirements, and the process for obtaining protocol approvals for sponsored research.
