UW Cinematheque: More Hitchcock!

Cast: Nova Pilbeam, Derrick de Marney, Percy Marmont. In this funny and suspenseful variation on Hitchcock’s oft-used “wrong man” plot, a young hero (de Marney) is accused of a murder he didn’t commit. While the police close in on him, he tries to find the real killer with the help of a teenaged girl (Pilbeam). The witty climax takes place in a hotel ballroom, where the heroine has tracked down the eye-twitching villain.
