Description
Juanita Jimenez Martinez, lawyer and human rights defender. Martinez has 21 years of experience in gender violence cases and has been a leader of the Nicaragua feminist movement. As a jurist she has participated in different processes related to the legal reforms and other government projects related to the struggle against gender violence. In 2011 she was one of the 100 women leaders chosen to celebrate the declaration of the International Women's Day who were honored by the US government.
