Description
Communication (voice and speech) can be severely impaired in Parkinson’s disease patients. To address this problem the Ciucci Lab has a translational research program, studying individuals with PD and using basic science techniques, including animal models. This seminar will focus on the use of the PINK1 KO rat to study vocalization deficits, pathology, and the neurobiological mechanisms of exercise-based recovery from deficits.
