September 2 is the 70th anniversary of the signing of the instrument of surrender on the deck of the USS Missouri in Tokyo Harbor. This special WN@TL commemorates the end of World War II while underscoring how new technologies in DNA and mass spectroscopy can help identify the remains of combatants and citizens killed in WWII and in later wars.
